Maken proudly participated in the prestigious international competition for the requalification of the Acropolis of Byrsa and the rehabilitation of the National Museum of Carthage in Tunisia. This single-phase competition attracted leading architects from around the world, all focused on revitalizing one of Tunisia’s most historically significant sites. Maken’s proposal aimed to honor the cultural and historical heritage of Carthage while integrating modern design principles to enhance the visitor experience.
In collaboration with five renowned architecture firms from three continents, including the esteemed Bernard Tschumi Architects, Cheikhrouhou and Partners, Hugh Dutton Associates, ScenEvolution for scenography, and Michel Desvigne for landscape design, Our team contributed to a multidisciplinary effort to create a harmonious blend of ancient history and contemporary architecture. The team prioritized sustainability, preservation, and educational engagement, demonstrating a shared commitment to safeguarding Tunisia’s rich cultural legacy while shaping its future. Through this project, Maken reinforced its dedication to global collaboration and innovation in architectural design.
