While the existing building itself lacked substantial historical value, Maken incorporated design elements inspired by traditional Tunisian motifs, fostering a visual connection to the region’s cultural identity. Inside, the bank was reimagined with improved functionality, including efficient customer service areas, modernized office spaces, and the integration of advanced banking technologies. Maken’s approach revitalized the building, offering a contemporary yet contextually sensitive space that respects Kairouan’s rich architectural heritage while serving the needs of its community.
